Back Flush Melt Filters are used for filtering the contaminants from the melt. Mesh filters (screens) are placed on the screening zones for filtrating the contaminants such as paper, aluminium, polymers that melt at higher melting points etc. Back Flush Melt Filters are capable of self cleaning feature, for a variable amount before changing the screen manually, depending on the contamination percentage of the melt. Screen cylinder is automatically moved out of the filter body, audial and visual alarms are triggered when the screen surface is clogged and can’t be cleaned by backflushing. Screen must be changed manually at this stage.
Screen diameter and screen zone quantity is chosen according to throughput and contamination percentage. Different models of Back Flush Melt Filters from Ø110 mm screening zone to Ø160 mm screening zone are available in our production programme.
